  • Pot

  • Choose a beautiful yellow-skinned persimmon. The fruit is still firm. Do not choose soft ripe fruit.
  • Any shape of persimmon fruit: Round, flat, long, round can all be made dried persimmons.

How to make dried persimmons step by step | hanging in the wind to dry:

1.Preliminary processing of persimmons

2. How to peel the persimmons and tie the string:

If the persimmon has branches:

  • At the branch, you cut branch into T shape to tie the string.

If the persimmon has no branches:

  • Clean the persimmon skin.
  • At the stem, you cut a line around the stem.
  • Then use string as shown.

  • Drying time from 3 to 4 weeks, persimmons will dry.
  • Every week, you wear clean gloves and gently massage around the persimmon twice a week. This step makes the persimmon more flexible and delicious when dry.

You can check if the persimmon is dry or not by: tearing the dried persimmon in half. If the outside is dry and the inside is flexible, the desired result has been achieved.

5. Preserve dried persimmons in whole shape

 

  • Method 1: Use your hands to squeeze the persimmons. Arrange 10 fruits in a long line into a plastic bag. Roll it up. Put in a paper box.
  • Method 2: Wrap each fruit with plastic wrap and put it in a paper box.
  • Put in the refrigerator for about 15 days.
  • Then transfer the dried persimmon to the freezer. Take it out and use it when you need it. You can keep these dried persimmon for a year.

6. White powdery flowers surrounds dried persimmons
